"Watch as we share the screen and register our Typhoon H "

As a fixed wing CFI/CFII. MEI/MEII, and AGI/IGI, I sincerely appreciate all that you provide!

Please allow me to provide a brief on your book "Remote Pilot 107 Online":

As stated, UAV's are now a part of our world and governed by the same body that governs all the other  pilots, the FAA.

As stated, they operate in our airspace at the same level as helicopter pilots 300-500 AGL, and they can legally operate up to

400 AGL.

CH. 2 - Use of IMSAFE is a great tool for those unfamiliar with our aviation rules, Regs and expectations.

Covering both certificated pilots and non-certificated pilots is good with bi-annual recurrence requirements stipulated for both.

CH. 3 - Pre-flight is good coverage, especially for non-pilots - need good inspection for serviceability prior to every flight-good detail provided on what to check. Formal waivers were also good to mention in this section as all pilots need to fully understand the requirements.

CH. 4 - Excellent brief on airspace...non-pilots probably don't think about that aspect of flight and appropriate coverage is provided.

CH. 5 - Great overview and a great recurrence for rated pilots. Simple, yet thorough explanation of air mass characteristics, as well as good lead into appropriate weather products for pre-flight briefings. I also loved the way you described various effects of weather on the sUAS...I absolutely loved this chapter!

CH. 6 - Weight, CG, and Stability are very important to helicopters, and likewise to UAV's...these aircraft will be over people and property and must be controllable and safe at all times...Stability, Maneuverability and Controllability are the triad of safe flight.

High weight/load factor and stalls are another phenomenon foreign to the non-pilot...excellent coverage! Your parrot example lends credence to real world application and understanding of the subject.

CH. 7 - Emergencies and reporting requirements are great to cover. Many pilots will not realize this to be an area that will affect their ability to maintain their rating with the FAA.

CH. 8 - Aeromedical. Great coverage of applicable areas. Most folks will not realize that a hangover or stress will affect their ability to fly, even from the ground as they won't have the  same sensation as when actually flying in an aircraft, but they need to consider all covered issues as related to hazard and risk, and the PAVE, CARE and TEAM checklists are great to use! They are simple and easy to remember!

CH. 9 - Remote pilots, while not required to communicate, must understand the aviation language, how aviators communicate, and what types of aircraft will occupy the same airspace as the UAVs.

CH. 10 - Flight planning - Pilots must understand and assess area and flight requirements prior to each flight. Great coverage for pre-flight thought processing and planning - another good reminder on control links for safety purposes and safe flight success.

CH. 11 Airport Ops - Great coverage of latitude and longitude, true north and magnetic north, charts, and ATIS use for airport ops.

Overall, I found the book to be a great read, easy to understand and a great foray into the world of the UAV. This book instills a further thirst for knowledge, which is the hallmark of Helicopter Online Ground School. You have both done an excellent job with this book and access to the UAV course will allow me to continue my quest for knowledge and certification.
